Mr. Pinchuk is Chief Investment Advisor to Greendale Ltd., a private investment company. He also consults and advises in areas/missions regarding alternative investment, strategic business analysis, portfolio strategy and development, hedging, risk-management, attribution and project management.
He was co-founder and Director of Foundation Capital Strategies Ltd., from 1997 to 2009 and Senior Investment Manager at I.I.D. Partners Ltd., where he co-managed the ANOVA Fund, as well as being partner responsible for C.O.O. functions. Over two decades, he has accrued a world-class investment track record delivering consistent returns with low-risk by creating and managing hedged long/short equity strategies.
He has also sat on the other side of the table, being the Principal Manager for Gate Investment Advisors, a JV with Single Family Office, where he actively researched, allocated and managed a large portfolio of external liquid alternative investments. From 1993 to 1997, Mr. Pinchuk was a Senior Portfolio Manager and co-founder of a segregated quantitative equity group within Ross Capital in Bermuda, one of the world’s largest Hedge Funds at the time. Prior to joining Ross, between 1991 and 1993, Mr. Pinchuk was an Associate Director with Fuji Bank’s London subsidiary, where he co-created one of the first internal multi-strat HF structures as both relative-value Portfolio Manager and Business Manager of the unit.
From 1989 to 1991, he led the Global Portfolio Trading & Arbitrage Group at Merrill Lynch in London where he managed the region’s Package Trading for the group, and advised institutional customers on portfolio construction, execution, hedging and risk management issues. From 1987 to 1989, he structured, and executed institutional hedging transactions for the DLJ in London. Mr. Pinchuk began his career in 1986 working for the Mocatta Group in NY, an early innovator in model-driven, systematic trading and risk management of volatility portfolios, doing stints in Business Analysis, Credit, before joining the OTC Treasury bond options desk. Mr. Pinchuk received a BSc. in Business & Agricultural Econ. with honors from Rutgers Univ. (Cook College) in 1986. He also attended the London School of Economics & Political Science 1984-1985.
